Don Hutchison has joked on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport whether Fabio Paratici can play as a striker for Tottenham if Harry Kane moves on.

This all stems from the information the former Everton midfielder was given about Tottenham’s new man in the boardroom and how he never stops working, even when on holiday, and covers every single base.

There are mixed reports about Kane’s future this summer, but the only information Spurs fans will listen to is the club making it clear their star man will stay, as Nuno Espirito Santo told Sky Sports.

Kane is due back in North London next week after his extended holiday following Euro 2020, as Hutchison made this claim about Tottenham’s 49-year-old Managing Director.

“Do you know what I take from that is if Harry Kane moves on,” said Hutchison. “Can he play upfront? Can he put the number nine shirt on and play upfront.

“He (Paratici) has got some job on.”

Well, if Paratici can match Kane’s talents and work outside of the pitch then Tottenham are in good hands.

In recent years, the decision-making or lack of forward thought process has cost Spurs and Paratici is tasked with, not only cleaning up that mess, but getting them back on track.

All of that starts with Kane staying on board this summer because if he leaves then it will spell disaster for the North London outfit.

Then it’s clearing the deadwood and replacing those players with individuals such as Bryan Gil and Pierluigi Gollini.
