Michael Owen has praised Tottenham striker Harry Kane who is ‘very hard to pick up’ following his side’s 1-0 win over Fulham on Monday night.
The 29-year-old scored goal number 16 in the Premier League this season, with Owen stating that his quick shift and finish into the bottom corner against Fulham was Kane ‘in a nutshell’.
That was also goal number 266 for the England striker in Tottenham colours – level with club legend Jimmy Greaves.

He has a chance to surpass one of the great finishes to have played the game when Spurs take on Championship side Preston North End in the FA Cup at the weekend.
If he doesn’t play or doesn’t score in the FA Cup, then he will surely back himself against Manchester City in the Premier League on February 5.
Either way, if it wasn’t for a certain goal-crazy Manchester City striker, then Michael Owen thinks Kane will be bigged up a lot more, as he told Premier League Productions (23/01/23 at 9:15 pm).
“He stands in between defenders, doesn’t he?!” said Owen. “He’s very hard to pick up. As soon he gets that half-yard, then it’s in.
“That’s just him in a nutshell. Just totally clinical. Every striker has a favourite type of finish, but that’s got to be his, just a shift and finish. Hard into the bottom corner.
“He has practised that a million times on the training ground. That’s what he does. If it wasn’t for Erling Haaland in this league, then we would be waxing-lyrical over him.”

KANE VS HAALAND
The Manchester City hitman has 25 goals from just 19 Premier League games this season, not forgetting that he has five in four in the Champions League.
That’s a total of 31 from 26 games, with the Norway international hitting Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo numbers.
It’s understandable that he will be getting all the headlines, but Kane himself is having one of his best-ever seasons.
The £200k-a-week Spurs star (Spotrac) has 18 in 29 games for a defensive-minded Spurs side that doesn’t create enough chances and has had a habit of going 2-0 down this season or conceding the first goal.
