Tim Sherwood has praised Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy for persuading Son Heung-min to stay at the club after his early struggles.
It was suggested that Son Heung-min struggled when he first joined Spurs in 2015, but it was Daniel Levy who told him that he will come good – as Tim Sherwood thinks the 30-year-old has been a ‘credit to the football club’ during that period.
It has been nearly ten years since the South Korean star donned the Tottenham colours and he might be aiming to end his career in north London.

If he does, then he will certainly add to the 100 Premier League goals he has scored – at the weekend, the all-action forward created history by becoming the first Asian to reach that feat.
There’s no doubt that Son will want Harry Kane to remain part of that journey, with the England star’s contract running down, because the duo have been unstoppable as a duo.
Whilst Sherwood just missed the boat with Son when he was at Spurs, he still spoke highly about the 100-goal Premier League star and how he has been a top signing, as he told PL Productions (10/04/23 at 2:35 pm).
“It’s incredible,” said Sherwood. “If it was down to Daniel (Levy), then he has done a good job persuading him to stay.
“He is one of the best trainers you are ever going to see – we didn’t have that good of a player when I was there (in response to if he managed Son).
“I have been critical of their recruitment over the years, but they have certainly been getting it right around this time. Alderweireld was coming in as well. He was another great servant to the club.
“It’s just amazing. The goals that he scores aren’t tap-ins – the Burnley goal was the goal of the season. You send him on his right foot, and he can hit them with his left, but people don’t know where to send him.
“But it’s just a credit to the football club and a great example to all the young players coming through. He works so hard. The humanity of the man. He is just a fantastic leader. He is a real leader of that football club.”

SON NEEDS AN ATTACK-MINDED COACH
Whilst Son won the Golden Boot, alongside Mohamed Salah last season, he needs an attacking coach to get the best out of his talents next term.
Spurs fans are calling for a more forward-thinking and positive coach to change the style of play at the club.
If that happens, then you can bet your bottom dollar that Son will be back to his old self again.
