Sky journalist, Kaveh Solhekol, told Sky Sports that the ‘good thing’ about the European Super League collapsing is that certain teams won’t be able to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane now.
If the now-disgraced ESL went ahead, then just by entering, the European giants, some of whom are in huge amounts of debt, would have had a big wad of cash to spend.
And with Kane producing potential Player of the Season performances whilst Tottenham struggle, only the inevitable would have happened.
But Solhekol suggested now that no-one can now afford the Tottenham hitman, which will be music to the ears of those in North London.
“Everyone was talking about before this happened whether Harry Kane was going to leave Spurs in the summer,” said Solhekol.
“Now, if I was a Spurs fan one thing I would be thinking is, one of the good things about the Super League collapsing is that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are not going to have £300 million in their back pockets to come and try to sign Harry Kane.
“I don’t think anyone can afford to sign him. And let’s remember, he never said that he wants to leave.”

Daniel Levy was under huge pressure before the ESL fiasco and now with that hitting him in the face, him and Joe Lewis, along with the Kroenke’s, are public enemy number one in North London.
Both Tottenham and Arsenal aren’t known to splash the cash in the transfer market, and with both showing signs of decline this season, a big summer awaits.
If key players are sold or they don’t do the business in the transfer market then it’s not going to be a pleasant sight inside the stadiums when the Tottenham and Arsenal fans are allowed back in.
