Should Aston Villa look at Jarrod Bowen this summer?

Hull City's Jarrod Bowen scores his side's equalising goal, as he sends Middlesbrough's Darren Randolph the wrong way from the penalty spot, to make the score 1-1 during the Sky Bet...

Hull City are one of four clubs reportedly interested in Aston Villa’s Keinan Davis.

According to The Birmingham Mail, the Villa youngster is wanted by Hull, QPR, Swansea City and Preston North End this summer.

But Aston Villa boss Dean Smith should use him as bait to sign Tigers winger Jarrod Bowen.

City reportedly only want Davis on loan, but the Villans should include their 21-year-old attacker in a player-plus-cash deal for Bowen.

The Hull man, contracted until next summer, has a very bright future in English football after scoring 22 goals in the Championship last season which, for a wide player, is one hell of a return.

Villa fans love Nottingham Forest’s Joe Lolley, a lifelong supporter, but Bowen scored 11 league goals more than him last season and is probably the more rounded, younger player.

It doesn’t seem as if Davis has much future at Villa Park, having been used sparingly by Smith last season – and that was in the Championship; now they’re in the Premier League.

If – and it might be a big if – Hull are genuinely interested then involving Bowen in the deal definitely should appeal to the West Midlands side.
