The Tottenham Hotspur youngster could excel in a temporary spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers pulled off a superb piece of business when they signed Helder Costa in a permanent deal from Benfica back in January, but as reported by the Birmingham Mail, their manager Paul Lambert is already bracing himself for the 23-year-old’s exit.

“If people come in for him we will have to deal with it,” Lambert said. “Money talks and anyone who tells you different is lying.”

While Wolves’ money men will be laughing if they can at least double their £13million investment in just six months, the Championship side will be left needing to replace the wide man and there is a great prospect in North London who could take Molineux by storm.

Ask any Tottenham Hotspur fan who their best teenage prospect is and they will say Marcus Edwards, and Wolves would be savvy to approach Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in an attempt to sign the 18-year-old on loan.

Predominantly a right-sided midfielder but also able to operate as an attacking midfielder, Edwards is the real deal whose talent is crying out for regular first-team football.

His time at Tottenham will undoubtedly come but next season the best he can hope for at White Hart Lane is a bit-part role.

At Wolves he could play regularly, and if Costa goes he could soften the blow considerably.

Tottenham may be willing to let the teenager leave on loan if they know he will play and Wolves is the perfect place for him to develop in the short term.

Tottenham fans do not call Edwards the mini Messi for nothing, and Wolves should seriously consider a bold move that could define their upcoming campaign.
