Speaking on the Keys And Gray Podcast, Dietmar Hamann has addressed his recent spat with Jurgen Klopp.
The two Germans haven’t exactly been getting on lately. Hamann recently claimed that Liverpool were lacking a spark, and when Klopp was asked about these comments in a recent press conference he hit back.
“Oh great, he is a fantastic source. Well respected everywhere,” Klopp sarcastically said when asked about Hamann’s comments.
“(Being a former Liverpool player) doesn’t give you the right to say what you want, especially when you have no idea.
“I actually think Didi Hamann doesn’t deserve that you use his phrase when asking a question. Do me a favour and ask your own question. Try to ask the question without the word ‘spark’.”
Klopp clearly wasn’t happy about the former midfielder’s criticism, but Hamann didn’t hold his tongue after this, even going as far as to mention the prospect of Klopp being sacked just days later.
“If they don’t win against City on Sunday, then it could be that you’re nine or 10 points behind fourth. If the game and the results don’t get better, that this discussion [of sacking Klopp] will come up at some point, that’s clear, no matter what you’ve done for the last four or five years,” Hamann said.
Now Hamann has addressed this little feud.

Hamann on Klopp
The former Manchester City man discussed Klopp and his recent comments.
“You did touch a nerve with that view didn’t you, have you kissed and made up now with the manager?” Keys asked.
“I don’t know him personally, but I will make up with him if I ever see him or when he calls me, if he has a problem with me, fine, I can live with that, but I haven’t got a problem with him, so it’s all good,” Hamann said.
Strange
We have to say, this is all very strange.
Hamann’s comments about Liverpool lacking a spark weren’t all that fiery, but for some reason, it rubbed Klopp up the wrong way and he couldn’t help but bite back – criticising Hamann’s credentials as a pundit.
It seems as though Hamann isn’t too bothered about the situation, but it’s fair to assume that he may not be on Klopp’s Christmas card list this year.
