Gabriel Agbonlahor has said on talkSPORT (8:42am, July 28, 2022) that Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo could join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool if he could.

The former Aston Villa striker believes that Ronaldo does not have any loyalty to any of his former clubs and could move to Liverpool despite the Reds being Manchester United’s big rivals.

The talkSPORT pundit made the comments about the former Real Madrid and Juventus forward while discussing the Portugal international forward’s future.

Ronaldo wants to leave the Red Devils in the summer transfer window, according to The Times, and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid’s city rivals Atletico Madrid.

Gabriel Agbonlahor on Cristiano Ronaldo potentially moving to Liverpool

Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT (8:42am, July 28, 2022): “To be honest, I think Cristiano Ronaldo would join Liverpool this summer if he could, big rivals of Manchester United.

“It’s about Ronaldo, he will go anywhere he can still play Champions League, get Champions League records and win titles.

“I don’t think Ronaldo has any loyalties to Manchester United or Real Madrid or Juventus.”

Anfield move not happening

In our view, Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo is not going to join Liverpool.

Ever.

Ronaldo is a United legend, and he will never want to upset the Old Trafford faithful by moving to their bitter rivals Liverpool.

The Portuguese star would know that it would tarnish his legacy at United.

Moreover, Manchester United are not going to sanction a transfer for Ronaldo to Liverpool.

And we do not think that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would want to bring in a 37-year-old Ronaldo who is past his prime.

Liverpool fans are unlikely to want Klopp to sign Ronaldo either.
