If Galatasaray want Vincent Janssen, should Spurs use him to get Bruma?

The Dutchman has been linked with a move to the Turkish side.

The agent of struggling Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has confirmed that the Dutch striker has rejected the chance to join Galatasaray this month.

Patrick van Diermen told Omroep Brabant this week:

“He decided to turn down all interest.

“Galatasaray came with an offer but Vincent will stay with Tottenham Hotspur. He decided to turn down Galatasaray.”

Janssen joined Spurs in the summer for a fee, according to Sky Sports, in the region of £18.6 million. His record of 30 goals in 43 appearances for AZ Alkmaar last season would have suggested goals were on the horizon, but he has struggled to adapt to English football.

So Galatasaray might in fact be a good option for the player. In fact, the Turkish side have a player that Tottenham are very keen on themselves.

Portuguese wide-man Bruma has long been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur. Tottenham have apparently already made a bid, according to Hurriyet in Turkey, who claim Spurs tried signing the 22-year-old for €20 million (£17 million).

With the Turkish side wanting the Dutch striker, who is looking increasingly like a dud, and Spurs wanting Bruma there is surely scope for some sort of deal here.

The problem might be getting Janssen to give up on his Tottenham dream. But it must be an idea Tottenham should consider.
