Everton have been linked with Patrick van Aanholt in recent times but a new report says the Crystal Palace defender will cost £25million.
If Everton want to sign Patrick van Aanholt this summer then according to the Sun it will cost £25m to land the Crystal Palace man.
Their report claims that Juventus are the latest side to show interest in Van Aanholt as they seek a replacement for Alex Sandro – who has been strongly linked with Manchester United.
Yet with the Eagles not wanting to sell as the left-back is a key part of manager Roy Hodgson’s plans, it will cost a hefty sum to land the Netherlands international.
Toffees in the hunt?
There were rumours the Merseyside club would make a move for Van Aanholt when Sam Allardyce was boss, with the former England chief having worked with the defender at Sunderland and Palace.
Yet even after Allardyce was sacked and replaced with Marco Silva, the Daily Mail reported that Everton still held an interest in the 27-year-old as an alternative to Leighton Baines on the left side of defence.
Baines will turn 34 in December and there are doubts at Goodison Park about whether the Englishman still has what it takes to be first choice in the position.
Neither Brendan Galloway or Luke Garbutt have shown enough to suggest they can be his understudy, while a potential move for Luke Shaw has fallen through with the 22-year-old set to be given another chance at Old Trafford.
