Everton are desperately in need of a left-back this summer.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo have claimed that Everton have tabled a £14million offer for Barcelona left-back Lucas Digne – and his signing should prompt Leeds United into action.
Digne, 25, failed to break his way past Jordi Alba last season, and eventually saw him miss out on a place in the France World Cup squad which went on to lift the trophy in Russia.
It is likely to have convinced Digne that he needs first-team football in order to regain his place in the France side, and that could see Everton land the former Paris Saint-Germain defender this summer.
Everton have tabled a fee and with Leighton Baines still on the books at Goodison Park, Everton will have no need for youngster Antonee Robinson – the kind of player that would be perfect at Leeds United.
Marcelo Bielsa’s new side are in desperate need of a new left-back, with Laurens De Bock struggling while Stuart Dallas’ pre-season performance against Forest Green showed that he was not suited to the left side of defence.
The 20-year-old United States international went on loan to Bolton Wanderers last season, and shone on the left side of defence as he helped Phil Parkinson’s side remain in the second tier of English football.

During his 34 appearances, he created five goals for Wanderers from left-back while remaining defensively astute to help his side keep six clean sheets. He also often featured on the left side of midfield.
With Leeds missing out on Florian Jozefzoon, who joined Frank Lampard’s Derby County, Bielsa needs additions out wide and at left-back and Robinson would cover both areas.
If Digne sign Everton, then, it should see Leeds consider Robinson.
