Considering three other Leeds United teenagers who deserve a first-team debut once there is little left to play for.
In a recent interview with BBC Radio Leeds, Steve Evans admitted that he would give young goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell his Leeds United debut when the Whites were mathematically safe from relegation this season.
The 19-year-old is highly regarded at Elland Road and looks set for a bright future in the game, but he is not the only teenager who deserves a first-team chance once Leeds have nothing left to play for.
Here we take a look at three other players Evans should put his trust in before the end of the campaign.
Eoghan Stokes
Those Leeds fans who keep a close eye on the under-21s will know that striker Eoghan Stokes is impressing at that level this season.
The 19-year-old is in a rich vein of scoring form and if Peacock-Farrell is going to be thrown in before May, Stokes also deserves a shot.
Frank Mulhern
Another teenage striker who is doing a decent job at under-21 level is Frank Mulhern and like Stokes he deserves to show what he can do from the bench for the first-team.
Mulhern has impressed at under-19 level for the Republic of Ireland and could be set for a big season next year, potentially out on loan.
Jack Vann
Centre-back Jack Vann has played regularly for Leeds’ under-21s this season and while it is always a risk throwing a young defender into Championship action he is worthy of a chance to show what he can do.
At just 17 he is very young but his versatility – he can also play at right-back – marks him out as one to watch and if Scott Wootton can get into this Leeds squad Vann certainly deserves a few minutes from the bench with the season drawing to a close.
