The sight of Edinson Cavani being unveiled by Leeds United would not take Kia Joorabchian by surprise, with the influential super-agent telling talkSPORT (28 July, 11.30am) that anything feels possible under the ambitious Andrea Radrizzani.
If you don’t buy a ticket, you’ll never win the lottery. Such a phrase seems to epitomise the Radrizzani-era at Elland Road.
After all, fans, neutrals and pundits alike initially scoffed at the prospect of the legendary Marcelo Bielsa replacing Paul Heckinbottom in West Yorkshire two years ago.
But, after hatching a masterplan along with director of football Victor Orta, Radrizzani achieved the apparently impossible and lured one of the most iconic managers of the 21st century to Elland Road.
Now, thanks largely to Bielsa’s outstanding management, the Whites are preparing for their first Premier League campaign since 2003/04.
Not that Radrizzani is going to rest on his laurels any time soon. Speaking to Football Italia last week, the Italian unveiled his latest goal; one which would see Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time record goal-scorer become the most high-profile signing in Leeds’ modern history.
“We’ll see, given he’s still available on a free transfer,” Radrizzani said of Cavani.
And Joorabchian, an agent who represents the likes of Willian and Cavani, believes another era-defining coup could be on the cards.

“Leeds’ owner has very good connections in Italy. If anybody can pull that off…” Joorabchian says.
“A lot will depend on the manager as well, Bielsa is so highly regarded. Leeds fans have a lot to look forward to woth those guys at the helm.”
Cavani’s wages would undoubtedly represent a sizeable stumbling block, however.
Le10 Sport reported in June that the 33-year-old, who scored 200 goals in 301 PSG games, wants £170,000-a-week from his next club – a sum that will stretch Radrizzani’s ambitions to their limit.
