Everton lost against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at the weekend.

Everton defensive midfielder Idrissa Gueye has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message to the club’s fans.
Gueye, who joined Everton from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £7.1 million, has thanked the fans for their support against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at the weekend.
The Toffees suffered a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Sadio Mane put the Reds in the lead after just eight minutes, but Matthew Pennington equalised for Everton on 28 minutes.
Philippe Coutinho restored the home team’s lead just past the half-hour mark, and Divock Origi wrapped up the scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the second half.
Gueye, who is 27 years of age, has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at the defeat, and has stated that he and his Everton teammates are determined to win against Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Tuesday evening.
