The Toffees returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Friday evening when they got the better of Watford 1-0 at home.
Ross Barkley’s goal in the 56th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides at Goodison Park.
Gueye, who joined Everton from Aston Villa in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £7.1 million, has taken to Twitter to revel in the win against Watford and has thanked the fans of the Merseyside outfit.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Goodison Park on Friday evening, hosts Everton had 62% of the possession, took 15 shots of which six were on target, and earned nine corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Watford had 38% of the possession, took 14 shots of which just two were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
