The midfielder has left Everton to join Paris Saint-Germain.

The Goodison Park club announced that he has made the switch to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
The Guardian report the fee received stands at £29m, ensuring that the Toffees have made a significant profit on the player after signing him from Aston Villa in 2016.
Having clearly enjoyed his time on Merseyside, Gueye felt it necessary to pay tribute to supporters and staff who have helped him on his journey, declaring: “We are family and will continue to be.”
Gueye was an effective presence in Marco Silva’s midfield last season, making 33 appearances in the Premier League. His average of 4.3 tackles per match in the top-flight (WhoScored) was more than any other player in the division. He also ranked in the division-wide top ten for interceptions, averaging 2.2 per match (WhoScored).
Clearly he was a defensive midfield presence that will be hard to replace.

Whether Everton now feel the need to directly replace him in the transfer market before next week’s deadline or are happy with the addition of Fabian Delph remains to be seen.
The Toffees will at least need someone to help protect and screen the defensive line against opposition threats.
Some fans have obviously been left disappointed by his departure, but the player has conducted himself professionally and ensured with his goodbye message that he’ll likely have a relationship with the Goodison Park faithful for years to come.
