Eddie Howe has been speaking in his pre-match press conference, ahead of the Premier League clash between Newcastle and Norwich tomorrow.

Interestingly, the 44-year-old revealed he wasn’t too happy about something which happened after the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

What’s the story?

Well, Howe was asked for his thoughts on the squad photo which emerged from the St James’ Park dressing room after Wednesday’s victory.

It showed co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi celebrating with the players as the 40-point mark was achieved in some style.

While the image represents a tight-knit group, Howe said he would’ve preferred it if the photo hadn’t been leaked to the mainstream media.

As quoted by Football Daily, the Magpies boss said: “Ideally, it wouldn’t happen. It’s not really something I wanted to get out, but of course it has. We’re not doing it for any other reason really than for the players.”

In our view, we see no issue with these pictures being leaked.

All it does is show Newcastle to be a united team, with everyone pulling in the same direction.

Newcastle are blossoming under Eddie Howe

To be honest, we can’t actually remember seeing anything like this when Steve Bruce was in charge – we barely saw a smile on Tyneside during that era.

However, things are now extremely bright and rosy against at Newcastle.

Howe has worked hard to not just improve results, but to completely transform the culture of the club, and there is now a strong family-like feeling about the Magpies.

To do this in just a matter of months is not easy by any means, and it is testament to Howe’s coaching ability, as well as his man-management skills.
