Liverpool fans on Twitter would love to see Leeds United sign academy gem Rhian Brewster next season.
Leeds are finally back in the Premier League following a 16-year absence from the big time.
One of the perks of being a top-flight club is they’ll be able to attract some big-name footballers.
Brewster is one of the finest young talents in Europe and the Liverpool player – on loan at Swansea City – scored a brilliant lob in last night’s playoff defeat at Brentford.
In doing so, the 20-year-old made it 11 Championship goals in 22 appearances for the Welsh side, whom he joined in January.
Leeds were in the running to sign him back then, but wound up signing Jean-Kevin Augustin instead.
But with Marcelo Bielsa’s track record of improving young players, taking them to the next level of their development, Liverpool fans want to see Brewster spend next season on loan at Elland Road.
This is clearly a frightening talent and Bielsa might well help his game in a big way.
Then again, Leeds may only sign a loan player this summer if there’s an option to buy next summer – and given that Jurgen Klopp said that he ‘loves’ Brewster last year, the German manager wouldn’t be okay with selling him just yet, you’d imagine.
