Aston Villa fans were delighted to see their former player, Josh Onomah, coming off the bench to secure a last-gasp winner for Fulham against Birmingham City on Saturday.

Onomah spent a season on-loan at Villa during their days under Steve Bruce when they reached the play-off final.

Whilst he ended up working with Bruce again at Sheffield Wednesday, last summer he secured a permanent move to Fulham.

Scott Parker’s side are pushing for promotion and hoping to keep their hopes of finishing in the top-two alive.

With the game at Craven Cottage heading for a goalless draw, Onomah came off the bench to net a last-minute winner.

The Villa faithful enjoyed that moment as he netted against their bitter rivals.

Villa and Fulham may well swap divisions, or even come up against each other in the Premier League or the Championship next season, as both are fighting hard to reach their target.
