Speaking on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, Paul Merson has revealed that he would’ve sold Sebastien Haller following his decision not to celebrate his 92nd-minute goal against Wolves last week.
Speaking on Soccer Saturday (via Football Daily) Merson said: ‘You’ve got to celebrate. I’d sell him tomorrow after that. I would look at him and think you don’t really want to be here.’
The French striker scored his first Premier League goal of the season against Nuno Espirito Santo’s men last week as the Hammers romped to a 4-0 win.
However, for whatever reason the 26-year-old didn’t celebrate his powerful header beyond Rui Patricio.
The man who cost West Ham £45 million when they signed him from Eintracht Frankfurt has fallen behind Michail Antonio in the pecking order under Moyes.

Haller has played just 27 minutes in the Premier League this season, so perhaps he was trying to make a point by not celebrating his goal – however, to say that would be speculative.
In all competitions, the striker is actually having a good campaign.
He has scored four goals in three Carabao Cup appearances, meaning he has five in all competitions.

That is just two less than the seven goals he managed to score last term.
Haller has proven that he can find the back of the net, and his presence on the bench at least seems to be getting the best out of Antonio.
The ex-Nottingham Forest frontman netted eight goals following football’s post-lockdown resumption last term with Haller left on the bench.
