Championship rivals Leeds United and Derby County are reportedly going head-to-head to sign Spurs’ Premier League starlet Tashan Oakley-Boothe.

Two years ago, Tashan Oakley-Boothe appeared to have the world at his feet.
He was one part of the England U17 side which won the World Cup in 2017, alongside Jadon Sancho, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Phil Foden, before making his first-team debut for Tottenham Hotspur a few weeks later during an EFL Cup clash with Barnsley.
But while Sancho, Hudson-Odoi and Foden continue to go from strength to strength and establish themselves as three of the best young players in world football, Oakley-Boothe has been left behind.
That cameo appearance against Barnsley remains his only first-team action under Mauricio Pochettino. And, at the age of 19, he has just one year left on his contract with his future in North London very uncertain.

So a loan move to Leeds United or Derby County could be the making of the Lambeth-born midfielder.
According to The Mail, Oakley-Boothe is expected to leave Tottenham on loan this summer and there is no shortage of suitors willing to give him a chance.
Tottenham recently snapped up 18-year-old Jack Clarke after his rapid rise at Elland Road so Pochettino will surely see the benefit of giving Oakley-Boothe the chance to learn from his old mentor Marcelo Bielsa in West Yorkshire.
Derby, meanwhile, have a manager in Phillip Cocu who was responsible for the emergence of Memphis Depay, Hirving Lozano and Gini Wijnaldum at PSV.
Though wherever he ends up, this could be Oakley-Boothe’s last chance of making a name for himself at Tottenham.
