Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after the Reds were linked with a move for Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
What’s the story with Saka?
According to Ian McGarry on the Transfer Window Podcast, Saka is on Liverpool’s shortlist as they look to revitalise their ageing frontline.
Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will all soon be 30, so the Reds are keen to inject a bit of quality youth into the side.
Saka is certainly a brilliant player. He’s a regular for England and he was a star of Euro 2020 before he missed the crucial penalty in the final.
Realistic?
There’s no doubting that this would be a fantastic signing, but how realistic is this move?
We hate to end Liverpool supporters’ dreams, but the reality is that Saka is going to be hard to pry away from Arsenal.
The Gunners are on the up, and Saka is spearheading the revolution under Mikel Arteta, and after so many years in the academy, it’s hard to believe that he’ll just up sticks as soon as Liverpool come knocking.
Of course, it’s very tough to turn down a club like Liverpool, but Saka is Arsenal’s star man, and at the age of just 20, he doesn’t need to rush into leaving.

Fan reaction
Some fans were willing to accept that this is an unrealistic move for the Reds, but that hasn’t stopped the excitement brewing.
Here’s what the Anfield faithful have been saying on social media…
