Some Newcastle United supporters on social media are getting very excited about the idea of signing Mario Lemina this summer after reports linked him with a move to St James’ Park.
The Gabonese midfielder has spent this term out on loan at Fulham, and while the Whites have an obligation to buy him at the end of the season if they stay up, it now looks almost certain that they’ll be relegated.
This means that Lemina is set to return to Southampton, who seemingly have no plans to bed him into the first-team squad.
As you can imagine, this has led to speculation about his future, and both Newcastle and West Ham have been linked with a move.
Newcastle supporters online are clearly keen on the idea of bringing Lemina to the club, and we can understand why.
Lemina has been excellent for Fulham this season, and he has a real pedigree behind him, having played Champions League football for Juventus in the past.
Whether or not Lemina is signed by Newcastle remains to be seen, but fans are clearly keen on the idea.
