Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Vlad Chiricheș’ performance for Romania on Sunday, as they were beaten 1-0 by England at the Riverside Stadium.

The 31-year-old, who left Spurs in 2015, started at the back for his country and he would often go from the sublime to the absolutely ridiculous during the game.

From his outstanding clearance following a close-range header from Jude Bellingham to giving away a penalty in the second half.

Tottenham fans were enjoying what they were seeing from their former defender.

Chiricheș’ arrived on Tottenham soil in 2013, as one of many signings brought in from that Gareth Bale money.

He didn’t live up to expectations and struggled during his days in North London and, in 2015, he was eventually shipped away by the club.

Now sporting a bald look, the experienced Sassuolo defender doesn’t look any different from his days spent in the Premier League.

Despite that, he did produce enough brilliant moments to impress some Spurs fans watching on.

What’s perhaps amazing is that Chiricheș was never booked during the game, even though he was hacking down Jack Grealish and he gave away that pen.
