Andy Gray has claimed that he would ‘get shot’ of Aston Villa and Newcastle United transfer target, Paul Pogba, from Manchester United, as he told the Keys and Gray Podcast.
The former Aston Villa striker added that Pogba is not interested in anything ‘but himself’ as his struggles continue in Man United colours.
In the summer, Pogba is out-of-contract at Old Trafford and that £89 million transfer Man United paid to Juventus in 2016 (BBC Sport) is looking much worse by the day.
There doesn’t seem to be any signs that he will sign on the dotted line in Manchester, and instead, will be headed for the exit door, with no Premier League title or Champions League medal to his name.
Referencing back to his previous comments about Pogba three years ago, Gray shared that he told Man United to sell their French midfielder for then-Aston Villa’s rising star, Jack Grealish
“Yourself (Pogba has wasted his Man United career himself),” said Gray. “We talked about Paul Pogba, I said three years ago, at least three years ago. I would get shot.
“His contribution is negligible for what he should be giving. I said to him ‘I would sell him and buy Jack Grealish’. I remember saying that and people were like ‘what?!’
“I tell you something now, you should do. Pogba’s not interested in anything but himself. How can he say that? ‘I have wasted five years of my life’. They have wasted five years of their salary trying to watch him and never got to see him.
“I wouldn’t play him. I can think of two games in the last four years, maybe three games. The win at Man City away, when he inspired the second-half comeback. There was a game against Tottenham. And the first game of this season against Leeds when he had four assists.”

There are those crazy transfer suggestions that Aston Villa and Newcastle are keen on a possible deal for the 29-year-old.
Whilst Pogba hasn’t lived up to his hype during his days in England’s top-flight, it would be one huge shock if he ended up at either Villa or St James’ Park.
There’s ambition, then there is pushing the boat out in the ocean, with no life jacket and being blindfolded.
Newcastle can have all the money in the world, but they aren’t going to get a player of Pogba’s reputation any time soon.
In truth, come the summer, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Pogba join PSG’s sinking ship or head to La Liga and join one of the big boys – Real Madrid or Barcelona.
