‘I’d buy him quick’: Rio Ferdinand says big teams should be all over one Everton player

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has spoken about how much he admires Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The former Manchester United star was speaking to his co-hosts about England’s best XI at the moment, and one of Ferdinand’s colleagues picked Calvert-Lewin over Harry Kane in his team.

Ferdinand doesn’t believe that Calvert-Lewin should be England’s first-choice number nine, but he did say that he’d be signing him if he was running recruitment at a big club.

“I love Dominic Calvert-Lewin, he’s one of my faves. I’m buying him if I’m at a big team right now, I’d buy him quick,” Ferdinand said.

Ferdinand is clearly a big fan of the Everton star, and it’s easy to see why.

Calvert-Lewin is one of the most dynamic strikers in the Premier League these days, combining incredible pace with fantastic aerial ability.

He’s been scoring for fun this season in an Everton team that, with all due respect, doesn’t dominate every game, so to see him playing at a top side would be quite a sight.

Of course, there’s no reason why Everton themselves can’t become a top side in the coming years. They’ve got one of the best managers in the world at the helm and an incredibly talented squad, so it may not be long before they’re challenging for top honours.
