Simon Jordan has claimed that he would be ‘very surprised’ if Daniel Levy spends ‘less than £100 million’ during Tottenham’s forthcoming summer transfer window, as he told talkSPORT.
The former Crystal Palace chairman added that, regardless of what Levy does this summer, he is still going to be called ‘a bunch of names’.
Levy isn’t exactly Mr Popular with the Spurs faithful, although, he does have a manager in charge that is very popular.
Many at Hotspur Way are still probably pinching themselves that they have Antonio Conte in the dugout, with the trophy-laden coach regarded as one of the best in the business today.
Conte is an elite coach and those at the very top expect the best, including in the transfer window, as Jordan expects £100 million+ to be splashed out on players in north London.
“I would be very surprised if we don’t see decent spending,” said Jordan. “Whatever Daniel Levy spends, he is still going to be called a bunch of names.
“But I would be very surprised if we see less than £100 million being spent by Tottenham in the next transfer window.”

In truth, £100m+ is probably what Tottenham need to throw at players in order to move forward next season.
Of course, securing Champions League football will help them a lot, as they currently sit fourth in the Premier League table.
But, either way, Conte’s outbursts this season are a warning to those higher up at the club that he will walk if he isn’t given what he wants.
The Italian usually likes to bring in proven players and those with experience, so it’s going to be interesting to see if Levy throws big bucks at a 29-year-old that can come in and do the job straightaway for the club.
