Jermaine Jenas has told BT Sport, during their live Europa League coverage, that he would have been furious with Tottenham Hotspur’s Carlos Vinicius at one stage last night.
When Spurs were 3-1 up, Ludogorets were breaking on them, but Gareth Bale and Tottenham’s midfield sprinted back to halt the attack.
Spurs then launched the ball forward to an unmarked Vinicius, and sprung a counter of their own.
Bale and Heung-Min Son were charging forward on both wings, but Vinicius ended up giving the ball away cheaply.
And Jenas admits that he would have been furious with the Tottenham striker in that moment.
“He’s got to do better there, Vinicius,” Jenas said. “His whole team is sprinting back. Just hold it in, take care.

“I’d be fuming. There’s nothing worse as a midfielder, when you’re running all over the place.
“Gareth Bale has just run by him, a world-class superstar, has ran by him to make a tackle. Just hold it in, give us a breather.”
Jenas’s comments highlight how Vinicius needs to improve to get used to demanding standards at Tottenham.
The 25-year-old had a very impressive debut for Spurs, where he claimed two assists, but his showing last night wasn’t his best.
Vinicius missed two decent chances to score, and his link-up play wasn’t quite at the quality required to put pressure on his teammates to take a starting place.
That being said, Vinicius is yet to fully settle at Spurs, and doesn’t even speak English fluently yet, so his performances should improve as he adjusts to life in North London.
