O’Shea Jackson Jr. fired back at the growing criticism around Luka Doncic’s MVP case, strongly defending the LA Lakers star against what he sees as an unfair narrative.

The debate intensified after Rachel Nichols publicly stated she would not vote for Doncic as MVP, pointing to defensive consistency and full-season impact as key reasons.

That stance quickly divided opinion. And Jackson did not hold back in his response. He made it clear he believes the conversation is missing the bigger picture.

Sharing a post on his official X account, Jackson passionately backed Doncic’s case.

“The man completely changed his body and lifestyle. Playing while his family is tearing apart,” Jackson said.

He added: “Putting up numbers we ain’t seen since Kobe and Mike. Over 100 steals. Climbed us into 3rd place. The story is amazing.”

Jackson’s argument focused on both performance and context, highlighting Doncic’s production alongside the personal challenges he has faced.

It also pushed back against the idea that his contributions fall short compared to other candidates. For Jackson, the MVP conversation should reflect the full scope of Doncic’s impact.

He also widened the discussion, suggesting inconsistencies in how MVP cases are judged.

“But alas, the goal post is not the same for a Laker. 2020 MVP and DPOY are still the most b_______ blatant robberies in my eyes,” Jackson stated.

The comment points to a broader frustration among some fans who believe voting criteria can shift depending on the player or situation.

It also ties into long-standing debates around past awards and perceived snubs. As the MVP race continues, reactions like this show how divided opinions remain and Doncic’s candidacy is right at the center of it.
