LeBron James’ tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers may soon come to an end.

For the first time in eight years, it’s becoming likely that LeBron James will once again become an unrestricted free agent.

In fact, latest reports suggest that the 4x NBA champion has already made up his mind about leaving the Lakers. Keeping these reports in mind, many diehard Lakers fans are bidding farewell to the King.

Ice Cube’s son drops a thoughtful message for LeBron James

Right now, nothing has been officially confirmed by the Lakers, but a barrage of reports have certainly convinced many fans that James has already played his last game in a Purple and Gold jersey.

Believing these reports, O’Shea Jackson Jr., son of Ice Cube, shared a message for James after supporting him for the last eight seasons.

“If it really is the end. Thank you [LeBron James]. We won it all the year we lost Kobe. And that s___ means something to me. Would really love to see you in a Laker jersey last tho,” he wrote on X.

Jackson Jr. was referring to the 2020 NBA Championship, where the Lakers lifted the Larry O’Brien trophy at the Orlando Bubble.

LeBron James and LA Lakers have failed to replicate the 2020 success

In 2020, Lakers legend Kobe Bryant tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash. By leading the franchise to an NBA Championship in the same season, James attained a legend status in LA.

However, since then, James’ tenure with the Lakers has been rather underwhelming as the team has failed to even reach the NBA Finals again.

Considering James is already 41 and the Lakers have their next cornerstone superstar in Luka Doncic, it makes sense to part ways right now.

For now, the likes of the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers are viewed as top destinations for the 4x NBA MVP, but as mentioned earlier, nothing has been confirmed.
