Rangers new boy Emerson Hyndman is now going up against former team-mates Patrick Roberts and Moussa Dembele.
Rangers new boy Emerson Hyndman has told The Scottish Sun that he spoke to Celtic winger Patrick Roberts about his move to Ibrox, having played alongside him at Fulham.
The Gers desperately needed a midfielder to come in during this month’s transfer window, after Joey Barton was released just eight games into his contract and Niko Kranjcar suffered a season-ending injury.

Manager Mark Warburton used the loan market to his advantage this month, as he landed not one but two central midfielders to aid his side, with Jon Toral and Emerson Hyndman arriving from Arsenal and Bournemouth respectively.
Toral worked with Warburton at Brentford so isn’t a hugely surprising addition, but the signing of Hyndman is interesting, given his lack of match action this season.
The American, 20, made almost 30 appearances for Fulham before his contract at Cravan Cottage expired last summer, and Bournemouth snapped him up, paying compensation in the process.
Celtic’s Patrick Roberts
Hyndman only started one game for the Cherries though, and he will now be hoping for more success in Glasgow, where two of his former Fulham team-mates are now enemies.
Celtic duo Patrick Roberts and Moussa Dembele both came up through the ranks at Fulham alongside Hyndman, but are now Old Firm rivals – and Hyndman has commented on the change in dynamic between them.
Hyndman admitted to The Scottish Sun that he spoke to Roberts to discuss his move to Rangers, laughing about how they’re now on opposite sides, but did add that his friends are now arch-enemies having signed for Rangers.
“It’s interesting how football works,” said Hyndman. “We were all in the same Fulham youth team and now we are on opposite sides at Rangers and Celtic. I had a conversation with Pat and we were laughing about that.”
“It’s funny. We are friends but business is business. When the day comes when we play against each other, we will be arch enemies. But I’m glad to be in Glasgow and I know they are too,” he added.
