Glasgow Rangers embarked upon a new era yesterday, when the Portuguese was officially announced as the club’s new manager.

Rangers centre-back Danny Wilson sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and shared how new manager Pedro Caixinha’s passion has already rubbed off on the playing squad, highlighting how it is their responsibility to give him something in return.
The Gers have disappointed upon their return to the Scottish Premiership, after a four year sabbatical from the top flight, and currently sit in third position in the table – an incredible 33 points adrift of fierce rivals Celtic.
Things will have to change at Ibrox, and fast, if Rangers are to address the gulf in class between themselves and the Hoops.
And Caixinha will really have his work cut-out, with fans and pundits expecting an instant impact from the Portuguese.
But Wilson expressed his excitement at what lies aead for his club, sharing the initial impression he got from Caixinha during a meeting with his new manager, as quoted by Rangers.co.uk:

“He seems to be the type who gets right involved and you could tell that from when we had the meeting this morning, his passion shone through in that. We need to match that and go beyond that as players and if he is going to give us that then we have to give him something in return. We know this season has been fairly disappointing so we need to try and finish on a positive note.”
The first task for Caixinha though, will be to steady the ship at Ibrox, by ensuring that Rangers do not finish any lower than third in the table.
Then there is the small matter of the Scottish Cup semi final against old foes Celtic on April 23rd, and if the Portuguese manages to guide Rangers through to the final, he will be an instant hit with the Ibrox faithful.
