Mark Warburton was looking for a win to ease some of the pressure on him, and he got a thumping victory over Championship side Queen of the South.
Jason Holt and Andy Halliday struck either side of half time to give Rangers a 2-0 lead, before Martyn Waghorn smashed a 20-minute hat-trick to seal the victory in style.

The win gives Rangers a major psychological boost ahead of this weekend’s game vital Premiership game against Aberdeen, and will hopefully give Warburton’s men some momentum after a difficult period.
After the final whistle, former Rangers winger Peter Lovenkrands took to Twitter to give his opinion on the game, suggesting that it was a great win for the Gers with five goals and a clean sheet to their name.

Lovenkrands also celebrated striker Waghorn’s hat-trick, with last season’s top goalscorer looking to hit the goal trail again this season.
