Joe Garner made his debut for Rangers on Friday evening.

Rangers hero Peter Lovenkrands has told BBC Sport that it was clear to see how good Joe Garner’s movement is after the striker’s debut for the club.
The Gers travelled to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock on Friday evening, and were forced to make an early substitution as Joe Dodoo was taken off through injury, with new signing Garner coming on in his place.

Much of the attention was on Garner following his big move from Preston, but it was a former Rangers striker who scored the opening goal as Kris Boyd put Kilmarnock in front.
Rangers did find an equaliser, but it didn’t come from Garner, as right-back James Tavernier smashing home an outstanding long-range free kick.
In what will no doubt be seen as two points dropped for manager Mark Warburton, Rangers couldn’t find the winning goal and ended up drawing 1-1 at Rugby Park.

New signing Garner will have been pleased to make his first appearance for the club, and former Ibrox hero Peter Lovenkrands has offered his verdict on the 28-year-old striker’s debut for Rangers.
The Dane spoke to BBC Sport after Friday’s clash with Kilmarnock, and stated that he didn’t think Rangers got to see enough of what Garner could do, due to Kilmarnock’s ‘really good defensive work’.

Lovenkrands did add, however, that it was clear that Garner has great movement and is a real nuisance for defences – something fans saw as he worked tirelessly in attack and had a penalty shout turned down in the second half.
“I didn’t feel that we saw enough of him,” said Lovenkrands. “I think it’s down to really good defensive work. You can see his movement is great, he makes a nuisance of himself. Killie made it very difficult for him and all credit to them,” he added.
