The Rangers boss could be still in charge for the Old Firm game against Celtic in March.

Rangers caretaker manager Graeme Murty spoke to the media during his pre-match press conference, and admitted that he is daunted by the prospect of facing Celtic on March 12th, if he is still in charge, as quoted by talkSPORT.
The Glasgow giants are currently without a permanent manager, after they parted ways with Mark Warburton last week, and they currently sit in third position in the Scottish Premiership table, an embarrassing 27 points adrift of Brendan Rodgers’ rampant Celtic side.
The Gers have lost all three of their meetings with the Hoops so far this term, and they will head into their next game against their arch rivals as heavy underdogs once again.
And Murty was asked by reporters if he is daunted by the prospect of facing the Scottish champions in March, should he still occupy the role as caretaker manager at Ibrox, as quoted by talkSPORT:
“Absolutely. You look at the history behind the clubs, you look at the way they are playing at the moment then you would be daunted. But I always had the feeling when you go to a big stadium and you are the underdog, there was no better feeling than walking out with a good result. However, I think it would be incredibly arrogant and presumptuous of me to even look that far forward. I’m just cracking on with what I’m doing, then we’ll see what happens after the game.”
Mark Warburton left Rangers last week
That game against their bitter rivals will have to wait, however, with far more pressing matters lying ahead.
Next up on the agenda for Murty and his Rangers side is their vitally important trip to Dundee on Sunday, as they look to keep pace with Aberdeen in second.
