A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur reported in the media this Tuesday evening.
Tottenham have accepted a bid in the region of £5 million for right-back Kyle Naughton from Swansea City according to several newspaper reports.
As a result it will mean the defender will be unavailable for tomorrow night’s League Cup semi-final first leg against Sheffield United at White Hart Lane.
Ahead of that clash, Mauricio Pochettino has said that Emmanuel Adebayor could start against the Blades tomorrow night.
The 30-year-old appeared as a substitute during the 2-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday, with the Daily Mail reporting he was booed by some sections of the home crowd.
Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino told reporters ahead of tomorrow’s game: “I didn’t hear them boo Ade. He is an important player in the squad and he is in my plans. When I believe I need to give the chance to play him or use him then he will be a good player and an important player.”
Ryan Mason may be available for tomorrow night’s game after struggling recently with a hamstring injury according to the London Evening Standard, but Erik Lamela will not feature as he continues to recover from a calf problem.
Defender Milos Veljkovic has joined Charlton Athletic on loan for the rest of the season, the club has confirmed.
The 19-year-old has made just one first team appearance for Spurs this season, and has recently returned from a loan spell at Championship side Middlesbrough.
