Tottenham Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino has said the structure within the club off the field needs to improve if they are to make strides on the field.
Pochettino is quoted in London24 talking about the structure at White Hart Lane, explaining that his role is a little different at Spurs compared to that at Southampton.
There have been changes since Pochettino arrived at the club, with Paul Mitchell arriving at the club from Southampton, but the Argentine wouldn’t go into too much detail.
He said: “I don’t want to speak about the past. We need to improve in our structure. My responsibility is to get positive results in the future and the next few games. This is my job now.
“What needs to improve in the structure? Maybe this question is not for me. My idea is always to try to improve. Nothing is perfect – always we need to improve.”
Christian Eriksen has acknowledged he is a marked man by other club’s this season as he has emerged as the key man on several occasions for Spurs over the past year or so.
As a result, it means that expectations are higher, the Dane admitted, as he told the club’s website he hopes to keep on coming up with valuable contributions like the winning goal for Hull City on Sunday.
He said: “Hopefully I’ll keep getting the chances and I’ll try to take them when they come along. It’s always good to score goals and to help the team.”
The last company to object to Tottenham’s new stadium plans has seen it’s premises go up in flames.
The London Evening Standard reports that Archway Steel Metal Works had refused to sell up to make way for a new ground. The family who own the business are reported to suspect arson but an investigation has been launched with the cause ‘too early to establish’ at this stage.
