Tottenham midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has been offered to AC Milan, according to a report from Italian outlet GianlucaDiMarzio.com.

Bentaleb is surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane but it appears the Serie A giants have turned down the opportunity to take the player to the San Siro.

The report says: “The most recent profile for the Rossoneri is Nabil Bentaleb, who was offered to the club – but the answer wasn’t positive.”

Sky Sports were among those that reported last month that the 21-year-old was not part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for this season.

However, it seems that the search for a new club for the midfielder goes on as it would take an unlikely U-turn from the Tottenham boss for there to be any future for the player at White Hart Lane.

Bentaleb has made a total of 66 appearances for the club, scoring just the one goal. Given his age, that is a fair amount of experience to have under his belt at a very high level, while his age signals there is plenty of room for improvement.

It will be interesting to see where Bentaleb does eventually end up as the writing has been on the wall for a while at Spurs but there seems to have been very little movement when it comes to finding a suitable club for him.
