It’s certainly an opportunity for several players to put themselves in contention for the game at the weekend against Tottenham as well as the fixtures that will follow the forthcoming international break. After the weekend’s disappointment there will be plenty of players who will feel they can force their way into the side.

Many changes being made to the team won’t be a surprise as Jurgen Klopp seems to have a fairly big squad at his disposal this term – especially as his side are without the demands of European competition. It will be a good opportunity for him to take a look at some players, and for others who may not be up to speed just yet to get some minutes under their belts.
Liverpool need to get themselves back on track this week and take some sort of momentum in what is another big early season trip on the road next weekend in the Premier League at White Hart Lane. Klopp will be hoping as a result of the changes he’s likely to make, he’ll have a useful selection headache going into the weekend.
