Martial found the net for the first time this season at the weekend.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, along with his coaching staff, had concerns about the focus and determination of their forward Anthony Martial, according to a report in The Times.
This came about because of issues that are said to have dogged the 20-year-old’s private life during the summer.
However, The Times report does state that Mourinho believes the Frenchman can become one of the top players in Europe if he applies himself properly.

Martial was an expensive recruit just over a year ago and showed his impressive talent by finding the net on 17 occasions in all competitions last term.
But he has found things a little more difficult at the start of this season. He started the first three league games of the campaign, and their Europa League defeat to Feyenoord, but has otherwise been used as a substitute, and he was not part of the match-day squad that saw United dismantle Leicester City last month due to concussion.

Martial did make his mark at the weekend, reminding everyone of his ability with a very well taken goal to open the scoring during the side’s 1-1 draw with Stoke City at Old Trafford.
Some of his performances last season made one or two forget that he is only very young. There is evidently bags of talent there. It seems to be a case of him keeping his head down and working hard and he will continue to get his opportunities under a manager that rates him.
His goal at the weekend was a timely reminder of the kind of finishing he is capable of.
