Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is continuing to look for areas to improve despite the side recording back-to-back wins in the Championship.
The Magpies followed up their 4-1 win over Reading in midweek with a 1-0 win away to Bristol City as they look to have put defeats from their opening two games behind them.
However, there are still areas the Spaniard wants to improve on in the coming games following their win at the weekend.

He’s quoted in the Chronicle, saying: “We can still improve in the counter attack.
“We had two or three occasions when we maybe the passing could be a little bit better, that could make the difference.”
There was praise for the side’s character and recording their first clean sheet of the season, but the comments do signal how meticulous Benitez is when it comes to analysing his side’s performance.

He knows there are areas of the side that need to progress throughout the season if they are to achieve their goal of returning to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Benitez would probably like his side to be a bit more ruthless with their opportunities and getting the ball from back to front, though his side do seem to be taking steps in the right direction.
Dwight Gayle has found his form up front by scoring four goals from as many games so far this season and Newcastle will hope to keep this kind of momentum in order to climb up the table, and build a solid foundation for the remainder of the season.
Even if this is the start of a long winning streak, expect plenty of positive comments from Benitez, but there will always be that one area that he thinks needs improving – such is his will to win.
