Grujic faces stiff competition to get into the side on a regular basis.

Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has seemingly acknowledged he has a fight on his hands to get into the side and get more game time in the Premier League during an interview with the club’s official website.
Grujic impressed during the pre-season, which saw him find the net on a few occasions, and he has so far made three appearances for the Reds. There have been two substitute appearances for the Serbian against Burnley and Hull City, and an appearance in the League Cup against Derby.
He told the official website: “All of the players in my position, and other positions, are playing very well.

“We have had good results to start the season. We had some hard matches away. We will be better from week to week – that’s the most important thing.
“I will try to show my skills in training to get more minutes in the Premier League.”
The 20-year-old certainly has a job on when it comes to getting into the first-team given that midfield trio of Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana are working so well at the moment, and there are players such as Emre Can, Kevin Stewart and Lucas Leiva who could all have a role to play.

The comfortable nature of Liverpool’s win at the weekend meant there was some time for Grujic to get a bit more experience under his belt in the Premier League, and for now he may have to rely a little more on that given Liverpool are playing just one game a week in most cases.
There is plenty of time for him to try to establish himself at Liverpool. He was clearly identified as a player for the future, but Jurgen Klopp and his staff feel he has something to offer the side now even if that may not be on a regular basis.
