Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan has told the club’s official website that they will be coming up against a good side in Swansea City despite their current league position of 17th in the Premier League.

The Reds travel to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday for the lunchtime kick-off aiming to win their fourth successive league game against a side that hasn’t won since the opening day of the season.

Klavan told the official Liverpool website: “They only have four points but it doesn’t show the kind of quality they have there. They have a good team and they play good football.

“The results have been a little bit unlucky for them, but it doesn’t mean they’re a bad team. They are a really good team in my eyes.”

Swansea gave Manchester City a difficult game in their last encounter before eventually losing 3-1 to the league leaders. It isn’t exactly the happiest of times at the club with reports suggesting all is not well when it comes to their manager Francesco Guidolin – with The Telegraph reporting that he is ‘clinging on’ to his job in South Wales.

However, one doubts that Liverpool will take this game lightly given they have already suffered the one shock defeat at the hands of Premier League newboys Burnley this season.

The Reds have shown they can beat the bigger sides on the road this season in Arsenal and Chelsea but will want to put any lingering doubts to bed that they can’t beat the sides they ought to beat away from home. They brushed aside Hull and will want to keep up the momentum they have generated.
