Jurgen Klopp addressed the media ahead of Liverpool’s EFL Cup second round trip to Burton Albion.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he will make changes for tomorrow night’s trip to Burton Albion in the League Cup, but indicated they won’t be wholesale at this stage in the season.
Klopp indicated that Danny Ings won’t be starting the game as he continues to build his fitness up, while he said Divock Origi currently lacks rhythm.

He did however, indicate that he will take the re-branded EFL Cup seriously, telling reporters, as reported by the Liverpool Echo live blog: “We have to show we want to be in this competition. It’s about respecting the game, working hard.
“We had so many different line-ups last season, at times I was surprised how good we were.”
There are no injuries to report for the Reds with Klopp suggesting that one or two players like Lucas Leiva could be available if they were really needed, but he suggested he would err on the side of caution when it came to reintroducing the Brazilian and others to the side.
The Liverpool boss was also asked about transfer business, but indicated no desire to do any more business on that front, though he didn’t rule out further moves.

He said: “I wait for the day when the transfer window is closed. I can’t believe how obsessed you all are with this.
“What will happen we will see, I don’t know in this moment, but we do not have a preferred position to sign players.”
One thing that Klopp will be determined to improve on is their play in the final third after they couldn’t break down Burnley at the weekend, despite having 80% of the possession and over 20 shots on goal.
Klopp largely put it down to decision making, saying: “We did a lot of good things, but at the end we made the wrong decisions. In two or three situations we had too many players involved outside the box and not in the box, that makes absolutely no sense.”
The German will be hoping for a return to the kind of decision making that saw his side score four against Arsenal the week before rather than drawing a blank at Turf Moor.
