Mane has become one of the first names on the Liverpool team sheet since his move from Southampton.

Former Liverpool and Southampton player Jimmy Case believes Sadio Mane was just what the Reds required in the summer, the Daily Echo reports.
Mane made the switch to Anfield this summer from St Mary’s and has made an instant impact for Jurgen Klopp’s side. He has found the net on six occasions already and become part of a formidable forward line that has contributed to Liverpool topping the Premier League table after 11 games, scoring the most goals in the division in the process.
Case is quoted in the Daily Echo, saying: “He’s been what they need, someone who can go past players from a standing start.
“He contributes so much with that extreme pace and variation. That in itself means defenders have to double up or even put three on him, taking defenders away from the likes of [Philippe] Coutinho, [Adam] Lallana and [Roberto] Firmino.”

Mane has become an integral cog in the machine with Liverpool. He is an explosive player but as Case has identified they are not totally reliant on him given there are other threats within the side.
It has to be said that he has been very impressive since he made his move to Liverpool, building on the quality he showed during his two seasons with Southampton.
The Senegal international will be looking to haunt his old club this weekend when the two sides meet at St Mary’s.
