Lallana has started the season in good form and Milner expects big things from his teammate.

Liverpool’s James Milner has told the club’s official website that he expects a big season from his teammate Adam Lallana.
Lallana has made an impressive start having found the net twice already this season while adapting to a new role within Jurgen Klopp’s midfield – playing in a more central, deeper role compared to playing out wide last year.
Milner has told the official Liverpool website: “He seems to take everything in his stride, no matter how bad the pass is or how bobbly the pitch is or any situation really – he’s that sort of character.

“He’s great around the dressing room; he’s a big character and an experienced player as well. He’s great for us as a team on and off the field and I can only see him getting better and better. I think it’s going to be a big season for him.
“He’s a quality player and he’s just going to get better and better. He seems so comfortable here. He’s enjoying his football.
“His work-rate is phenomenal to start that press and to keep going. He gets round the field. His quality on the ball is very pleasing on the eye, which is always nice – he just seems to ghost away from players and always knows where he is.”

Lallana seemed to have the trust of Klopp from day one in terms of his application and ability to press the opposition, and he certainly looks at home in the role he currently adopts. There seems to be a bit more of an attacking threat from him as well, while he has a massive hand in the side’s ability to dictate the play.
He has started every Premier League game so far this season, which underlines his importance to the side, and he seems to be a handful for whichever side comes up against him. One cannot underestimate the leadership he provides on the field as well, as he is one of the players that seems to be doing a lot of talking and trying to fire his teammates up.
In terms of a big season, if Lallana hits double figures in front of goal and continues in the same vein as he has started this season then it will be hard to knock his contribution.
