Bolasie made a big money move to Goodison Park from Crystal Palace in August.

He was one of Everton’s most expensive signings ever as Yannick Bolasie arrived from Crystal Palace for a fee reported to be worth around £25 million, according to The Guardian.

Bolasie had troubled his fair share of defenders in the Premier League during his time at Palace. The 27-year-old could take on anyone he was isolated with one-on-one, although some would have questions about his end product and wonder if Everton paid over the odds for the player.

But let’s have a look at the statistics to see if there is any indication he has progressed at Everton and justified the fee:

It is also worth mentioning that Bolasie has two assists to his name this season; at the same stage last season he provided just the one.

What stands out in the tables above is that he is winning more of his battles when dribbling, getting far more accurate crosses into the box and has created six big chances compared to just one by the same stage last season. It is up to other players to take those opportunities, of course. One thing that everyone connected with Everton will no doubt like to see from now on is Bolasie to chip in with a few goals himself.

But judging on these numbers, there has been some evident progress as he has contributed to a positive start to the season for the Toffees, where they currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League.
