There have been many highs and lows to Liverpool’s campaign.
It has certainly been an eventful season for Liverpool with a change in manager and a run to two cup finals coupled with the disappointment of an eighth-place finish in the league.
Yet it has been a season that has seen many memorable wins for the side, plenty of highs and lows and there have been several great images to sum things up.
From the dismissal of former manager Brendan Rodgers to their emphatic wins over Manchester City in the league – as well as a derby demolition over Everton – even with a lack of silverware there have been some moments from this campaign that could well live long in the memory for Liverpool fans and players alike.
August: Liverpool open the season with 1-0 win at Stoke City
August/September: Setback for Rodgers with disappointing 3-0 defeat to West Ham United, followed by 3-1 loss to Manchester United

October: Rodgers sacked after derby draw, Jurgen Klopp appointed Liverpool manager
Klopp’s reign begins with 0-0 draw against Tottenham
Klopp gets first wins against Bournemouth and Chelsea
November: First loss for Klopp against Crystal Palace
Reds stun Manchester City in 4-1 win at Etihad Stadium
December: Liverpool humbled by Watford
January: Liverpool reach League Cup final after penalty shoot-out win over Stoke City
February: Klopp returns to Germany as Liverpool beat Augsburg over two legs in Europa League
February/March: Liverpool lose League Cup final on penalties to Manchester City, but beat them in the league three days later
March: Liverpool overcome Manchester United in first European meeting between two sides to reach Europa League last eight
April: Klopp takes Liverpool back to Dortmund as they stun his old side with 4-3 win in second leg at Anfield
Klopp wins first Merseyside derby in charge of Liverpool with a 4-0 win over Everton – announced two days later that Mamadou Sakho tested positive for doping offence
April/May Liverpool turn around first leg deficit against Villarreal to reach Europa League final
May: Liverpool surrender one-goal lead as they lose Europa League final to Sevilla
