Newcastle, Tottenham, Aston Villa and Southampton stars were all among those part of the England under-21 squad that finished their campaign in style.
England’s youngsters finished their qualification campaign for the under-21 European Championships in some style with a 5-0 thrashing of Bosnia at Banks’s Stadium in Walsall.
Tammy Abraham took his good club form into the internationals with the Bristol City striker, on loan from Chelsea, finding the net twice after Reading’s John Swift opened the scoring from distance in some style.
Sunderland’s Duncan Watmore also managed to get himself on the score sheet along with Tottenham’s Josh Onomah, while Jack Grealish picking up the man of the match award as the Aston Villa man put in a fine display.
The young Lions only dropped the four points in qualifying, meaning they finished top of their qualification group, four points ahead of nearest challengers Norway.
As one can imagine, there was plenty of positive reaction following the game on Twitter from many of England’s players.

Among all the reaction, there was a thrilled Tammy Abraham for continuing his good scoring form, Newcastle’s Isaac Hayden was delighted to make his debut for his country at this level. Onomah and Swift both expressed their delight at getting among the goals, and Southampton’s Nathan Redmond made a point of congratulating his teammates for their performances, with Grealish happy to pick up the man of the match award.
