Southampton are second in their Europa League group following a 2-1 win over Inter Milan.
Southampton manager Claude Puel is not getting carried away after the Saints recorded a famous 2-1 win over Inter Milan in the Europa League at St Mary’s, the Daily Echo reports.
The Saints are currently second in Group K having taken seven points from their four games so far but the manager wants his side to retain their focus ahead of their next European game, when they face Sparta Prague in the Czech Republic.
Southampton manager Claude Puel before the match
He’s quoted in the Daily Echo, saying: “The next game will be very difficult of course because it’s a good team Sparta.
“We know that it was important to win tonight because after just two possibilities – a game away and at home to take six points.
“It was important to get this result and it’s a good result but it’s not finished of course.
“We want to know the qualification in this competition and it was a fantastic game for my players but the work is not finished.”

Puel is targeting another win from the final two games, which he feels will ensure the side’s passage to the knock-out stages of the competition.
Sparta currently top the group on nine points, while Saints are three points clear of third-placed side Hapoel Be’er Sheva – who visit St Mary’s for the last round of group games.
They are handily positioned to qualify from here on in. Four points from their final games should be enough for them to qualify, but if they manage to get two wins from their remaining two games it could lead to a more favourable draw when it comes to the knock-out rounds.
